The Forest Retreat is in an ideal location close to downtown but surrounded by forest, so it’s very quiet. Near the SOCO district and many restaurants and shopping. It has one bedroom with full bathroom and a well supplied kitchen in an open floor plan. The bedroom has a queen bed and windows looking out into the trees. The bath has glass and ceramic tile in the tub and shower. There is also a covered patio has table chairs facing the private woods.
This is a casual house that puts people at ease the moment they enter. It was built by master furniture maker Wolf Sitter, http://wolfsittler.com/ and designed by his artist/photographer wife, Charlotte Bell,.http://www.charlottebell.com/
The location is ideal: 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from the trendy SOCO and Rainy street districts, 15 minutes from the capital and the University of Texas. Even better, it is 3 blocks from the Hike and Bike trail. When you are in the house it feels like the country since it backs up to a wooded greenbelt. You can walk to many places.

It rents for 185 per night, 3 night minimum, 1500 per week, 2000 per month.
Pricing is 225 during festivals.
There is also a 15% Texas tax for stays shorter than one month and a $50 cleaning fee.
