The house was completely rebuilt by furniture maker Wolf Sitter and furnished by his artist photographer wife, Charlotte Bell. All ceilings, floors and trim are wood. The living area is spacious and comfortable.Gorgeous spalted pecan custom cabinets and a big center island make the large kitchen area a treat to the eye and easy to cook in.The master bedroom is large with a king size bed. Windows look out into the trees. There are two complete bathrooms.
A big deck nestles under the live oak tree in back with table chairs and a gas grill. There is also a pond, a piano and guitar for your use. This is a casual house that puts people at ease the moment they enter the front door and see all the wood and the fabulous tree filled back yard through large windows.
The location is ideal: 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from the trendy SOCO and Rainy street districts, 15 minutes from the capital and the University of Texas. Even better, it is 3 blocks from the Hike and Bike trail. When you are in the house it feels like the country since it backs up to a wooded greenbelt. There is strong wifi and TV, whole house AC and heat.
It is nonsmoking and cat free. This house has a 5 day minimum. It is only available in February, part of June, July and August.
It rents for 285 per night. 1850 per week and 3000 per month. In June, July, August and September there is an additional 100 for AC.
There is also a 15% Texas tax for stays shorter than one month and a $100 cleaning fee at the end of your stay. If you would like cleaning the fee is 75 per time.
